Although these things are great, they bring about a lot of distractions if you are not focused on working towards your goals. Putting your goals in writing will help you get clarity on what you want to do AND when you will accomplish it. If you do not have your goals in writing, it will be easy for the semester to go by without you taking time to work towards your goals.

2. The school year goes by fast

Because there is so much going on on a college campus, the school year will go by quickly. With lots of people and activites, it is easy for your time to sneak by.
